More Than Invitations!

Shindig delights in creating unique, whimsical, colorful and fun invitations and related event tidbits. We start with the save the date or invitation design and create a cohesive graphic style that carries all the way through a limitless list of accompanying “day of” pieces.

Born of the idea that an invitation should be uniquely characteristic of each event it’s announcing, we intentionally operate on a boutique scale offering our clients a close knit and collaborative creative process. We love a clients who love adventure! We work in any type of media and printing method relishing any opportunity to work in or incorporate materials other than paper, (though we’re just as happy to keep it to the page!).

Shindig was inducted into the The Knot’s "Best of Weddings, Hall of Fame" in 2017 and is a ten time nominee and four time winner of The Greeting Card Association’s Louie Awards for excellence in stationery design. Check out our press page for media coverage.

Who is Shindig?

With twenty-five years of professional graphic design experience Jill Ryder started Shindig in 2004 convinced that formal invitations could be more than black type on ivory card stock. The world of invitations has come a long way since then, and most people these days desire event products that makes a unique and personalized statement. Stationery that's out of the box...sometimes literally!

Jill got her start in advertising after graduating from Syracuse University with a BFA in graphic design. But, in the world of advertising the ultimate goal is to graduate to television commercials and she adored the tactile experience of the printed piece. Jill left the ad world, and after broadening her design expertise with brief stints in web design, print design, and as art director of a magazine she realized she had a passion for paper...and for parties! With punchy colors, extreme attention to detail, and a homespun flare, Jill creates unique and fabulous event identity materials that have not gone unnoticed.

Jill splits her time between New York and Philadelphia– a northeast corridor jet-setter! where she eats fried chicken, brine pickles, loves cats, practices yoga, seeks adventure, explores new avenues, wears many hats, and rides her bike absolutely everywhere.
